SissWrap Foot cordless red light therapy wrap worn during a seated session at home

BURNING. TINGLING. NUMBNESS.

Red light therapy for neuropathy in feet.

Burning that interrupts your evening. Pins and needles at rest. Soles that feel numb or less responsive. Neuropathy does not feel the same for everyone.

Explore red and near-infrared light therapy as a non-invasive addition to your foot-care routine—and meet SissWrap Foot, an adjustable, close-contact wrap that makes a seated session simple at home.

What can red light therapy add to neuropathy care?

A non-invasive, light-based way to care for your feet. Photobiomodulation delivers light energy into tissue and interacts with cellular processes involved in energy and signaling. Human studies have examined both neuropathic pain and sensory function.

Burning, tingling and numbness describe different experiences. That is why we look at what each study actually measured: pain and sleep in one trial, vibration sensation and nerve tests in another. Then we show how SissWrap brings red light therapy into a simple home routine.

01 / THE CASE FOR RED LIGHT THERAPY

Light energy beneath the surface. A different approach to foot comfort.

Red and near-infrared light interact with light-sensitive molecules in tissue. This process, called photobiomodulation, influences cellular energy and signaling involved in inflammation and repair.

That biological approach is why researchers investigate light therapy for nerve-related symptoms. The studies below ask two different questions: what changes in neuropathic pain, and what changes in measured sensation?

HUMAN RESEARCH / RANDOMIZED, DOUBLE-BLIND TRIAL

What clinical research found about pain and sensation.

Pain and sleep: a 144-person trial

Researchers enrolled 144 people with painful diabetic polyneuropathy. One group received 890 nm infrared light alongside physical therapy. The comparison group received the same physical therapy without infrared light.

The light-therapy group had lower pain levels after six weeks and 30 days after treatment ended. Researchers also reported improved sleep quality, particularly among participants with severe pain.

Sensation: a separate 69-person trial

A randomized, placebo-controlled trial in people with diabetic neuropathy studied nine sessions of clinician-delivered 808/905 nm laser therapy. The laser group showed improved vibration sensation compared with placebo, with differences still present at day 90. Nerve-conduction tests were also assessed.

A light-based addition to your neuropathy care.

Managing the cause and managing daily symptoms serve different needs. Depending on the cause, your existing care may include blood-sugar management, treatment of a vitamin deficiency, medicines for nerve pain, or exercises for strength and balance.

Red light therapy adds a non-drug, non-invasive light session to that routine. It delivers light energy into tissue through photobiomodulation—the approach examined in the pain and sensory studies above. You can keep following your existing care while exploring this additional way to care for your feet.

For home use, the next question is practical: how do you position the light around your feet comfortably? That is where SissWrap’s adjustable, 0 cm contact design comes in.

0 cm contact. Red light therapy that fits around your feet.

Panel, boot or wrap? Compare contact, coverage and how the fit adjusts to your foot. SissWrap Foot brings its flexible light-facing surface against your skin. Adjustable straps let you personalize the fit and placement, without a separate light source to position.

  • 0 cm contact fit: Fasten the straps to keep the light-facing surface close during your seated session.
  • Adjustable coverage: Position the wrap around your sole, heel and ankle, then fine-tune its placement for your foot.
  • Hands free. Wall-cord free: The rechargeable design lets you use it while reading or watching TV.

Choose a format you can fit comfortably and use consistently. Meet the wrap built for that routine.

Your neuropathy and foot-wrap questions, answered.

Does red light therapy help with neuropathy?

Photobiomodulation has been studied for different aspects of diabetic neuropathy. The 144-person infrared-light trial above reported improvements in pain and sleep, while the separate 69-person clinical laser trial examined vibration sensation and nerve function. These are different outcomes measured with different treatment protocols.

What does the research say about numbness or reduced sensation?

The sensory study above reported improved vibration perception after a specific clinician-delivered laser protocol. That helps explain why researchers investigate photobiomodulation beyond pain alone. Feeling more comfortable and recovering protective sensation are separate outcomes: continue checking your skin and following your foot-care guidance even if discomfort improves.

Will SissWrap fit different foot sizes?

Yes. Adjustable straps let you personalize the fit for different foot sizes. Slightly reposition the wrap to focus coverage around your sole, heel or ankle, keeping the fastening comfortable rather than tight.

Can I use one wrap on both feet?

One SissWrap Foot fits one foot at a time. Use it on each foot in turn according to the manual, or choose two units for a separate wrap on each foot.

How does it fit with my existing neuropathy care?

Use red light therapy as an addition to your care routine. Treatment of the underlying cause—such as diabetes management or correction of a vitamin deficiency—serves a different purpose from symptom relief. Keep following your prescribed plan and ask your clinician how to incorporate a home light session, especially if foot sensation is reduced.

How often should I use it, and what should I track?

Follow the SissWrap manual for session length, frequency, mode and brightness. Track burning, tingling and comfort over repeated sessions, and record numbness separately rather than treating less pain as restored sensation. Clinical study schedules are not the operating instructions for this wrap. Finish the session and remove the device before falling asleep.

What if my feet have reduced sensation or I have diabetes?

Reduced sensation can make pressure, warmth or skin injury harder to notice. Get guidance before using the wrap if sensation is impaired, and inspect your skin before and after use. Do not use it over an open sore. A new wound, redness or swelling needs medical attention rather than an extra light session.

What are the return and warranty options?

SissWrap Foot comes with 60-day returns and a 1-year warranty. Review the return policy for eligibility and the steps to request a return.
